* Biography *
With over 16 years in the music industry,
Christian Guerrero has become one of
Australia’s leading Latino Entertainers. He
is an accomplished singer, a Master of
Ceremonies and a true showman in his
field..Throughout his career, he has
performed regularly to small and intimate
audiences as well as full house venues
such as the Darling Harbour Bacardi Latino
Festivals, The Sydney Domain, and the
Sydney Opera House to name a few.
Born and raised in Sydney by his Chilean
parents who migrated to Australia in 1971,
he was brought up constantly listening to
Latin Music. Christian's passion for show
business started at a young age. His first
experience in showbiz was at the tender
age of 10 where he began his connection
with the stage as a Folk Chilean dancer. He
developed his passion for live music when
he joined the school brass band in 1986.
He later went on to join his first Rock band
as guitarist in 1987. It was whilst at school
that he started develop a passion for Latin
Music and wasn't long before he joined his
first professional working Latin band at the
age of 15. Since then his experiences with
many Latin bands have taken him to stages
all over Australia and around the world.
Christian's passion for Latin music drives
him to work two bands simultaneously. One
of these bands was developed to meet the
new demands of the current Salsa market,
increasingly calling for smaller size bands.
With this in mind, Christian developed his
own vision of a compact, multi-functional
and expandable Salsa Show Band, called
the "Salsa Kingz" .
He's second band the is long time running
Salsa Band "Sonora Galaxia". After a short
break from the band, Christian returns to
"Sonora Galaxia" to lead a new generation
of Salsa musicians, to supply the Salsa
market with the exclusive big style Salsa
Show band. Both bands currently work
together complementing each other to
provide audiences and dancers a unique
vision, style, energy and charisma in Latin
Music.
Although Christian's performance style and
experience ranges from Jazz Standards to
the latest Top 40s Pop tunes, and from
Rock 'n Roll to Latin Pop Tunes, his true
passion still lies with the traditional Latin
rhythms in the style of Salsa, Merengue,
Cumbia, Cha Cha & Boleros. Whether it is
with a 4 piece or his BIG band, Christian
and his bands deliver a dynamic and
energetic performance. A show and a
musical experience not to be missed!
